Ms. Ayano Soma
Digital Communications Manager
Ms. Ayano Soma is the Digital Communications Manager at the United States-Japan Foundation. She leads the Foundation’s website, content, and public relations strategy, managing bilingual communications across digital platforms. Her work includes overseeing website development, producing editorial content, managing newsletters, and coordinating social media outreach to expand stakeholder engagement in both Japan and the United States. She also supports key Foundation initiatives through translation, data analysis, and technical coordination with external partners.
Prior to joining the Foundation, she managed a multilingual research and storytelling project at Refugee Voices Japan and worked as a data consultant on Japan-U.S. research investigating sexual violence. She has experience in cross-cultural academic research, nonprofit communications, and program coordination.
She holds an MSc in International Social and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and a BA in Liberal Arts from Sophia University.
