Cooper Renfro
Cooper joined Social Finance in 2014 and has spent over a decade designing and deploying blended and catalytic finance instruments to mobilise private capital for inclusive development outcomes. His work spans strategy, market-shaping, and instrument design across a wide range of contexts - advising major multilaterals, foundations, and INGOs on how to unlock private capital alongside public funding, and supporting the development of innovative financing ecosystems in both high-income and lower-income markets. He also leads Social Finance's People & Planet thematic platform, working at the intersection of climate action and social impact. Prior to Social Finance, Cooper worked directly with vulnerable populations in the US non-profit sector, before completing an MBA at the University of Cambridge (Judge Business School). He also holds an MA from Harvard University.
