Paul Hastings

Paul Hastings is President and CEO of the Japan ICU Foundation, a New York–based organization that works with International Christian University and partners across Japan and the United States to nurture global citizens. He joined the foundation in 2006 and has led it since 2015, shaping its growth into a more active, outward-facing organization and launching initiatives in global leadership development, undergraduate research, and refugee education pathways.

He also serves as Chair of the Board of Kibo Alliance and as a Trustee of The American School in Japan. He holds a BA from Bowdoin College and an MA in Comparative International Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and is a recipient of the Aspen Institute’s Nakasone Scholarship. Having spent a significant portion of his childhood in Japan, he lives in Maplewood, New Jersey, with his wife and two sons, where he volunteers as a leader in the youth baseball program.
